GemLists.com= Building A Keyword Domain Name Portfolio Through Expired Domains

Intro: What this website is....

You've likely heard all about it by now: domain names are hot properties.  Web content and keyword domain names are "virtual real estate." You can generate passive income by choosing good domain names, and then adding some content and developing your name into a micro site or website or blog.  Some domainers add another layer by promoting their micro sites: creating Facebook pages. Tumblr pages, Twitter accounts for their domains.  Others promote their newly developed domain with Adwords campaigns, or create PBN networks to gain advantage (we won't be going down that road).  This sounds great, right?

The reality is finding a good domain name gets harder every day.  More and more of the remaining quality names are finding homes with end users, or are swallowed up by domain name investment companies or other corporations, or become mini sites or blogs for domainers seeking passive income.  In addition, it takes years of experience (ahem, mistakes) of domain purchasing and portfolio building to acquire the market intelligence to be capable of generating lists of domains that substantially exceed registration fee.  To find the right combination of software, expired domain name list sorting, drop catching, and keyword/search volume/CPC research, it takes years of struggle for most.  We'd like to help.

We're going to provide lists of available keyword domain names on this website.  For free.  Why?  We have hundreds of names that we arent showing you, for one.  Secondly, we have a systematic process to finding these names, using a series of tools to mine the best names for our purposes.  We'll continue to build lists faster than we can register and develop domains into micro sites or full websites (more on that in a second).  But before we do that, let's discuss a few things.

1) Goals:  Prior to beginning a domain name portfolio, we recommend clearly establishing goals. For example, are you trying to register quality, generic keyword domains to develop into mini sites for passive income?  Or are you trying to create a cash cow with a fleet of monetized sites and/or parked pages? Or are you simply trying to build a network of quality names, with no intention of site development?  Define what you are trying to build early on, with the understanding that these goals are likely to change as your portfolio grows and as your base of knowledge expands.

2) Hand Registered Domains Have No Value:  This is not the truth.  It is however, mostly true, in a sense because most hand regs are garbage.  Take any list (including ours), after serious mining and research, and hand reg maybe the top 5% at most.  Pick the best of the best.  If you pick relevant keyword or product related domain names and DO THE WORK (develop a micro site, promote your site, do some basic SEO, update the meta tags and description, maybe even do a little link building), you will generate a finished product that should typically far exceed the domain's annual renewal costs.  If you build a portfolio of quality domains utilizing that strategy, establishing passive income seems likely.  Use your judgement; you are the ultimate appraisal expert for any domain you are considering, because your vision of the finished product is what will determine your domains value.  Which brings us to the third point:

3) Have a Plan:  Before you register a domain, have a plan for it.  Can you start developing right off? Can you monetize easily?  Is it a subject you can write about easily?  We use one of two webhosts for most of our projects: Google's incredible free Blogger service, or Ipage (very inexpensive).  We develop using either the above mentioned Blogger, or Wordpress.  These are highly recommended tools.  If you master these, you can develop the names we're going to list here easily.
